PCF Kids Ministry
We are so glad you are considering visiting with your family!
We believe that children are a vital part of our congregation. We want them to know they are valued members of the church, to feel loved and welcomed, and to grow in their knowledge of God and His Word.
We also believe that parents are the primary disciplers of their children. Our role as a church is to come alongside families, supporting, encouraging, and equipping them as they lead their children in faith. Our children’s ministry is designed to partner with parents in helping children understand the Bible and grow in their relationship with Jesus.
All children begin the service with their parents in the main worship gathering. We value this shared time because it allows children to experience the life of the church—watching their own parents worship and hearing the congregation sing, pray, and read Scripture together.
Right before the sermon, children from birth through fourth grade are dismissed to their classrooms for age-appropriate teaching.
Students are welcome to bring something to take notes with during the sermon if they remain in the service. Our pastor is mindful that young listeners are present and teaches with that in mind.
Below is what you can expect for your children when you visit. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about our Kids Ministry.

Nursery (Birth – 4 Years)
Our nursery provides a safe, cozy environment for our youngest children during the worship service.
Parents may bring diaper bags and anything their child may need with them to the nursery. We typically provide a simple snack such as animal crackers or pretzels. If your child has specific dietary needs, please feel free to send a snack with them.
If you are visiting, we provide name tags where you can write your child’s name and your cell phone number. If your child needs you during the service, a volunteer will text you.
The nursery is located in a quiet area next to a comfortable sitting room, which provides a peaceful space for nursing mothers if needed.
Nursery care is available beginning at 12 weeks old. However, parents are always welcome to keep very young children with them in the service if they prefer.
Elementary (Kindergarten – 4th Grade)
Right before the sermon, children from birth through fourth grade are dismissed to their classrooms for age-appropriate teaching.
This class lasts approximately the same length of time as the sermon.
Our children follow a four-year curriculum cycle that we have designed to give them a strong foundation in the Christian faith. During these years, they will learn:
The overall story of the Bible
Basic Christian catechism
Biblical principles for daily life
Stories of Christian heroes throughout history
Accounts of modern-day missionaries
By the time children finish fourth grade, our goal is that they:
Know how to open a Bible and find books, chapters, and verses
Understand the basic message of Christianity
Begin to see how the whole Bible fits together
Children are welcome to bring their own Bible.
Middle School Bible Study (Grades 5–8)
Our middle school students meet for a Bible study before the main service.
Time: 9:00–9:40 AM
Grades: 5th–8th
This is a time for students to study Scripture together and begin learning how to discuss and apply the Bible in their own lives.
Beginning in fifth grade, students remain in the worship service with their families for the sermon.
What We Are Currently Studying
Currently, our children are learning through stories from The Pilgrim’s Progress, a classic Christian allegory that helps children understand the Christian life and the journey of faith.
If you have any questions when you arrive, someone will be happy to help you find your way and get your children settled.
We look forward to meeting your family!
